Misspelled keywords are great I heard that one misspelled domain called mortage.com was sold for over $200k for the misspelled traffic

There still will be some people who don’t accept the search engines correct spelling, and for those people if your site is there for the misspelling you could realize some traffic. especially if it’s a misspelling that is common on a high traffic keyword, like the one you mentioned “accomodation” instead of “accommodation”.

It’s a really interesting topic, even if it’s not the most profitable one anymore. I understand how a word like “jewellery” could be commonly misspelled (especially with confusion between British and American spelling) and “accomodation” is one that I often get wrong, but one of the ones on the list that seems weird to me is “acnee”.

Like I said before, it’s great that Google picks up on misspellings now, but I do wish there was still a way to make money from this!

Truthfully, not that well any more Melanie, unless you are targeting a keyword that is commonly misspelled and could result in good traffic increase.

What about targetting alternative spellings, like English or continental spellings – example check/cheque? These are acceptable to Google when used sparingly.
