Earn Cash Online For Free
Want to make money online without spending any? Well ok, you’ll have to have a computer and an Internet connection, but that’s it!
You don’t need a website, don’t have to pay for hosting, or even buy any domain names if you don’t want to, although you may want your own domain name (only about eight bucks a year!)
So how do you earn some quick cash online for free? You simply take advantage of some of the web 2.0 sites out there that are willing to share some of their profit with you. Write good keyword targeted content (more on this later) and write lots of it (I didn’t say there wasn’t work involved!) And they will give you a piece of the “pie”, their advertising income from Google AdSense, Amazon, eBay and others.
Here is a list of sites that will “trade” some of the profit for your good content:
1. Hubpages.com is a very user friendly site (and my favorite!) that requires no coding skills at all, and allows a writer to well… just write! No adult content is permitted and excessive self-promotion is also a no-no. Hubpages promotes high quality, original content. Hubbers can make money with their articles (hubs) with Google AdSense ads, Kontera contextual ads, Amazon products, eBay products, you can also generate income by driving traffic to other hubbers hubs, and by getting new members to sign-up and create money making hubs of their own.
2. Squidoo.com is somewhat like hubpages, but does allow some html and coding for techie members. They also do allow adult themed articles or “lenses” as they are called. Income can be generated by including ads from Amazon, Netflix, eBay, Cafepress, and others. Join Squidoo and become a lensmaster!
3. Infobarrel.com (second on my list) give their writers a share of the AdSense revenue generated by their articles.
4. eHow.com is the ultimate how-to site. You’ll need to join the writers compensation program to get a share of any revenue generated by your how-to articles.
5. Xomba.com gives writers a 50% cut of the AdSense monies generated by their articles or “Xombytes”. Xombytes only need to be 150 words long. You can also post Xomblurps (only 50 words long) which are links to websites, blogs, videos, or audio accompanied by a short original blurp.
6. Knol.com is a Wikipedia type of site and is owned by Google. The articles are called Knols and any money your content generates comes not surprisingly from AdSense ads.
7. Epinions.com is a consumer journalism site. As a member you post reviews on products or services.
8. About.com calls their members “guides” and their credentials and writing skill must be approved. Guides maintain Guidesites devoted to their topic or expertise. Money is generated by the number of page views your “site” generates.
9. Helium.com is an article directory that strives for quality in it’s content. The articles are rated by your fellow writers and the higher the ranking the more page views you get as well as the more money your article will generate.
10. Bukisa.com has a unique way of sharing revenue, but basically you are paid by the number of impressions your content receives. You can also earn extra cash when you bring new members on board and when they refer new members too-three levels deep!
11. Blogger.com Whoops I almost forgot! I have several Blogspot blogs and make more than a little money with them. Blogger is owned by Google also, and is very easy to monetize and work with. You can also sell affiliate products or services or even your own product or service. Unlike these other websites with Blogger you have a fully customizable blog to do just about anything your heart desires (within the TOS that is;o).
12. Today.com Get paid to blog.
13. Posturown.com Another article directory that will give you a cut of any money generated for your good articles.
14. AssociatedContent.com I’ve never used this one myself, but it’s contributing authors articles appear in the first page of the serps with regularity, and that’s what it takes to get a high recommendation from me. I’m going to have to publish some articles with them in the near future!
15. Triond.com Produce high quality original content, get published on one of their relevant sites and get 50% of any revenue generated.
16. Mahalo.com You can earn some extra money on Mahalo in several different ways:
- Answer questions (a lot like Yahoo Answers) but your answer has to be picked as the best one.
- By completing a Mahalo task (you complete tasks for other users.)
- Creating Mahalo pages (writing articles.)
17. Snipsly.com is one of my new favorites. They give you a 80/20 split on any money made by your articles, and your content can be shot like bookmarks or longer articles.
Well that should keep you busy. I don’t use all of these but have used several (Hubpages, Squidoo, Infobarrel, and eHow) with good results.
Don’t expect to write a few articles and give up your day job though, too be successful you need to write and submit articles on an ongoing basis. Earning extra cash online for free is…well free, but will take a whole lot of writing, writing and even more writing. It takes work! That’s all there is to it.
How To Make Sure Your Articles Make You Money
For the most part anyways. How can you get traffic to your articles so you can make some extra cash online? It all starts with keyword research! Whenever you write anything to be published online in the hopes of making money you need to do proper keyword research every single time!
If I’m writing an article that I want to rank well in the serps I nearly always go after the low-hanging fruit, or those keywords that get at least 500-1500 searches monthly (using Google’s keyword tool with the “exact match” option chosen) and have less than 10,000 competing pages that none of which have more than a PR3 or so. If you can find one with the top pages with only a PR0 you’re golden, and I would go for it!
This means that I have a good chance of getting my article to that coveted number one spot.
You should also go after keywords that cost advertisers at least a dollar a click (if AdSense is going to be in your monetization model.) I’m doing an experiment (you need to be experimenting constantly in this game) with writing articles that cost upwards of $35.00 a click, but it may be hard to go against the competition…time will tell.
Give Your Articles Some Link-Love To Generate Traffic And Revenue
You’ll need to give your articles some backlinks to really propel them up the serps. How do you do this? By writing more articles of course! Like I said you’ll be writing a lot so get used to it.
I like to write articles using the same keywords in the body as well as, more importantly, in the anchor text of the links back to your money making articles and/or content.
I then submit these articles manually to these article directories:
1. EzineArticles.com
2. Searchwarp.com
3. Goarticles.com
4. Isnare.com
5. ArticleAlley.com
6. ArticleBase.com
7. Buzzle.com
Why these directories? Because they sport some pretty good PR and they show up with regularity in the first page of the serps.
You won’t want to go crazy shooting links at a brand new article though, it’s better to build your backlinks gradually over time. I’ve found you can ride the article directory’s PR right up the serps, usually, (especially if you’ve chosen good keywords-lots of searches, but low competition!) Sometimes your article will just need a little push to get to the top spot ;o).
You can also use Brad Callen’s Article Submitter software, which has a free download and can get your article on about 70 or 80 directories (or opt for the paid version and get your article on hundreds of directories automatically.)
I’ve also found Unique Article Wizard and Article Marketing Automation to be real time savers. If you’re interested in getting unique articles with varying keyword anchored backlinks from literally hundreds of website, blogs, and article directories without much work you really need to check UAW and AMA out!
In Conclusion
I’m generating income and backlinks every day using these methods, and so can you. Whether you use just these Web 2.0 sites or opt for a hosted blog or two you will need backlinks and these sites can supply them in abundance, and a little extra cash never hurts either!

Yeah it helps Frank, especially if you intend to pay the bills with your online income.
that’s absolutely wonderful article to earn cash ,i didn’t know some of them.those will work for me.
i would advise to use older post or article which are famous to put on your home page, because sometimes inspite of Recent entries older post also do have weightage and so you may get traffic too
I haven’t noticed anyone really doing that too much Dave. It’s an idea though, write a post that’s long, optimized well, some of your best stuff, generalizing what the rest of your blog is about and make is stick to the front page. Hmmmm
Hi Jerry, good day!

Here’s a newb query… If I want to submit some of my articles on hubpages, for example, but the said articles are already posted on my blog, should I rewrite it?
ariston|ways for kids to make money online´s last blog ..Ways for Kids to Make and Earn Money Online / Offline
Yes Ariston, Hubpages wants only original articles on their site. That’s not to say that you couldn’t post it on hubpages and then somewhere else, but it needs to posted to Hubpages before anywhere else. I would imagine most sites that pay you part of the income want original stuff, but you should always read their TOS first. Oh and don’t think that I mind a “newb query” because I welcome questions and there are no stupid ones here! Thanks for stopping by.
Hello, grreat article very sucint and to teh point I also love UAW but are all teh articles really unique? Also I’ve been trying squidoo not to make money but to promote my money sites but with little luck, thanks for the tips I hope they help me improve an actually make money.
gilles@como ganar dinero´s last blog ..Como ganar dinero con Adsense
Thanks Gilles, it’s all about promotion really, just keep at it and in time you will see results.
As much as the ‘adsense pie’ thing sounds like a good thing, it’s definitely not easy to attract good amount of revenue without investing a lot of time in writing loads of articles and promoting these elsewhere.
If one can write well, they can start writing articles on EzineArticles, get a platinum author status and then a lot of people will pay $20 or more to get ‘guaranteed’ articles on EZA. Same is true for others like Squidoo or hubpages, if you are good you can get a lot of writing work.
You might want to include how much %age of revenue do these site share? On blogger.com blogs, the whole revenue is yours.
They vary in the amount they share and even the ways they share it, some give a percentage of impressions, some pay by the number of impressions, you’ll just need to investigate any you’re interested in pursuing. I for one really don’t like to write much, but if that is your thing, you’ll find a bunch of people like me who are willing to pay for content.
I never said it would be easy money I said it would be free (or close to it) and you’re right, to make any “real” money you will need a bunch of articles there’s little doubt about that! I have heard of one Hubpage that is making it’s author $6.00-$9.00 a day, but I’m sure that amount from one hub would be rare.
Court and Mark at the Keyword Academy wrote 100 hubs in thirty days and made some pretty good money. $650.00 the first month if memory serves me. Do that for a few months and you could be paying the bills.
You have to take some guidance from seniors and Guru’s who are on this path since years, that will be the best way to start your own business, because there are many competitors in market if you jump without strategy it could be risky for you.

To me Blogger.com is good only with Ad-sense, else Wordpress rocks more than blogger. Blogger has some limitations and we cannot earn more things in freebies than we can do in custom domain.
Sounds good Jim.
Yeah Rocky I too enjoy the Hubpage Community, their a lot of fun.
There all “legitimate” John.
Do that Monika, I like success stories!
Yeah Jason I think a hosted blog gets more “respect” (from the search engine anyways) then a Blogger blog. Although I think you can build a Blogger blogs traffic to the same levels-it just will take you longer. (everything else being equal)
very good article

cool blogs on how to earn real cash online! thanks or posting it.
But still this business could be risky with new comers, if they don’t pay seriousness to their work, since there are many works available online, and they comprise of two categories Full time and Part time, so you need to plan on what basis you want to go and then move on it.
I went through many websites and checked for money earning at home, but i have found all of them fake, they just take money at first in the name of Kit and then they give nothing in return, don’t know about links you have given above, will check it
I have tried many websites of earning online, but i failed miserably as they do ask to pay first and then to start work and about 90% of those websites are fake and its very difficult to find the rest of domains, hope i could get something from blogs that you listed above. Thanks
Yes Billy you are correct that there are a ton of fakes out there. The current economic climate is forcing more and more people into looking at making money online as an alternative to looking for a “real” job, simply because those jobs aren’t there. So here we have unscrupulous individuals looking to make a buck off of others’ misfortune and ignorance. This post however is giving you a taste of a legit and real way to make money. Just know this; it’s gonna take a lot of work on your part.
this is excellent on how to earn real cash online ,i don’t have any website though hope it will be the best way to start my own business

You’re giving some great information here. I think people forget that articles are just webpages and they need links as well. It’s one of those not so hidden but important secrets. UAW is a smart strategy for building these links especially if you use it on a regular basis. Thanks for the help!
Very good article. I have been interested in hubpages for a while and think I may pursue it once I get my other income streams underway. Just a question though, I hear people writing may one article and calling it a hub, can you do that? I mean does a hub need a lot of content?

Hey Pal, thanks for sharing all above links, I don’t know how Legitimiate are they, since I have tried many and didn’t get much from them, but I will surely try above links too.
To establish your own money making websites, you won’t need thousands of dollars or savvy programming skills. All you need is a dream which you want to realize, and the goal of making money in the comfort of your own home.
It’s easy to establish your own money making websites. Granted it probably won’t be an overnight success story, but you never know. As long as you’re having fun and making smart decisions along the way, then nothing could go wrong.
Supplemental Income Advocate´s last blog ..Finding the Right Legitimate Home Based Business
I’ve really enjoyed reading your articles. You obviously know what you are talking about! Your site is so easy to navigate too, I’ve bookmarked it in my favourites
yes it’s better to build the backlinks gradually over time. We can also take help of business or article directory’s for PR right up the serps, usually, especially if you’ve chosen good keywords-lots of searches, your article will just need a little push to get to the top ;o).
Thanks Motz.
You’re welcome Benjamin.
And at the “top” is where we want all our stuff Gary, thanks for commenting.
Thanks Girlygate.
Very true Supplemental Income, just keep adding good keyword targeted content and keep promoting your content and you’ll make some money, get enough content out there and you can make a lot of money simple as that.
Oh their all Legitimate David, that’s for sure. You can make more money with some of them, with Hubpages being my favorite, check it out!
No Meka, you don’t need a lot of content for a Hubpage. Although you may get a Hub (their name for an article) to rank well easier if it covers the topic well. Go on over to Hubpages and check it out, I think you’ll like the site and community! Good to see you Meka, and thanks for your comment!
You’re more than welcome Josh, many people might be surprised at how few backlinks it takes to propel an article to the top of page one of the serps, and yes UAW can make keeping your top spot much easier!
I truly hope I do help you make a lot of cash Mona!
Hey Jim if you don’t have a website how is it you have a last post for Commentluv?
Thanks for your comment Kate, and yes it does take a lot of writing (work if you ask me!) if you expect to make any “real” money from these web 2.0 sites.
Kate responded well to your comment above Billy, and those links are all legit at the time of this writing, so do check them out.
Hi Sean, if a website asks for money from you first I would immediately hit the back button! None of the sites I listed will ask for money up front (they may ask for money for other services they offer) and some can make you more than others but they are all legit, and worth a closer look.
Hmm… I read blogs on a similar topic, but i never visited your blog. I added it to favorites and i’ll be your constant reader.
