Cash-In During These Troubled Economic Times

 Powered by Max Banner Ads

What to do during these tough economic times? Well, if you don’t have a clue…read on.

Wikipedia defines a Recession as being: A reduction of a country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for at least two quarters. The usual dictionary definition is: a period of reduced economic activity.

We are constantly bombarded with a “Doom and Gloom” outlook on TV and in newspapers.

But I just don’t see it that way, thank you. I see an increased interest in the “make money online” niche because of these troubled economic times!  Think about it, with more people out of work  many will be looking for alternative ways to earn some extra cash to help make ends meet.

More people online=More traffic to your blog=More cash for you

Are you thinking about how to make some money online? It’s really not that difficult, I would suggest a Wordpress.org blog. A hosted Wordpress blog gives you a professional look and some credibility.

You’re out of work-you say-don’t have money for hosting ect. Well that’s not even a problem, just go to Blogger.com and get a free blog. There are thousands of people making money online with a free Blogger blog.

Just choose a niche you have you have an interest in and some knowledge about (it makes the writing a whole lot easier.)

Because your ultimate goal is to make some extra cash online pick a niche that will ideally have  eager buyers of something from your site. You could however just provide much needed information and monetize with Google AdSense or ads of that nature.

Setting up a Blogger blog is sooo very easy anyone can do it with just a couple of clicks-no really if you’ve never tried it go right now and check it out, you’ll be blogging in minutes-I promise you!

Just start blogging about anything to start with as you can always delete it later, nothing is set in stone here. The main thing here is to START BLOGGING-stop thinking about it and just DO IT!

One of the first thing most people want to do is throw up some adsense or something to make some quick money, but I wouldn’t bother with monetization at first, because without traffic you just won’t make any money. Hell, you’re the only one that will see your pages at first, and you don’t want to click on your own ads (thst’s a bad thing lol.)

For the first few months just try to add good useful content to your blog on a regular basis. After you get a few pages (yes that’s right a few pages-not paragraphs) and indexed in Google (just enter your url in the search box to check this out) then work on getting some backlinks to your blog to move up the serps. Ideally you would want your blog to come up in the number one spot on the first page of the search results for a popular search term.

Once you start getting some traffic to you little corner of blogshere that is when you should start to think about monetization.

Well I’m starting to ramble on here (I tend to do that.)

If your reading this and are perhaps out-of-work and looking to earn some extra cash online and still have questions about getting going online with your blog ect. Shoot me an email I’ll be more than happy to help you out.

Nice bit of info. Personally, I’m building a couple of blogs around some tight but popular niches. The only source of revenue will be adsense as I think that most users will ‘click to browse’.

    Hey James,
With AdSense you really kinda want your visitors to leave hopefully via your AdSense ads.
I’m just gearing up to do a fairly detailed post on cashing in with Google AdSense.
Specifically about optimizing niche blogs to get highest CTR for your AdSense ads.
So stop back by if you have a mind to.

A nice simple introduction to affiliate marketing. Top stuff.

Im not a real fan of adsense though. It tends to drive traffic away, as the links dont open in a new window. bummer!

Hi! I have not thought of a free blog program that I can start with. Good to know I can start with a free one. I have been planning to establish my own blog site but I was thinking of the investment. With few ideas of things to write about, now I can start blogging soon. Thanks.

You don’t have have an online presents and you’re called “affiliate girl” Hmmmm.

  • One of the most reliable ways that I have found of building links is to syndicate my blog with other like minded individuals. If you look at the Google Friend Connect panel on my blog, you will see that I presently have 44 “Friends”; of these, 36 are people with whom I syndicate.

Whenever one of us in the group makes a new post, we, as a group, have agreed to give some credibility to that post on one or more of the social media web sites. This either by way of a save, digg, clip, etc., and sometimes a comment on those social web sites. All this social activity by our group serves to increase search engine visibilty and rankings, which in turn means that our posts receive greater attention by people outside our group (i.e. traffic).

Every time I post, I get more social activity and visibility – more visibility = more traffic = more visibility
