How To Use Keywords To Make Money Online
Using keywords in you blog posts in the right way can get you noticed by the search engine spiders, a sure way to generate some traffic (organic traffic, which is the best kind–FREE).
Like regular web pages, the right density of keywords is what gets the spiders to take notice.
You want to use keywords that ideally have little competition and lots of searches, to get on the first page of the search results for that keyword (easier said than done but not impossible).
If your blog post is about 200 words you would want to use your keyword 2-6 times for a keyword density of between 1 an 3 percent.
This is a respectable keyword density, any more will look make your post look bad to the spiders (and you don’t want that).
So when making a post to your blog, choose a couple keywords to use, keep the keyword density to about 1-3 percent, and make sure the keywords used are relevant the your blog.
This is a surefire way to get some free search engine traffic to your blog!

Yea keyword optimization is definately one of the more important SEO keys. You should also remember that having an overly keyword dense post may be viewed as spam by search engine spiders. Anyway, great post thanks for the info!

Hi, just one note – I think 1-3% is too low. I’m going with 4-6% instead and never had problems so far. But surely that is the right strategy

Seo is really a guessing game, even for the “experts”, and I think your 4-6% is in the ball park, I’ve just been slapped a little by Goog in the past so I tend to error on the side of caution a little, but whatever works is good! Thanks for your input Trisha.
I tend to use my keywords 2-3 times every 100 words. I haven’t experienced any penalty from Google yet.
I think that’s a good percentage of usage Mark, the important thing is to leave no doubt what your post, article, etc. is about. Just as long as your writing reads naturally.
