First Page For “Cash Blog”
I realize that “cash blog” isn’t the most searched for keywords out there, but I decided to see how long it would take me to get on the first page of Google for it.
Even though I’ve been online building a few websites (which I didn’t really like much) and then blogging(which I really do like) for about a year now, I hadn’t really worried about SEO at all. I was concentrating more on learning some of the techie stuff, hell I had trouble sending an email when I started!
Well anyway, a week and a half, that’s right it only took a week and a half to get on the first page! I was surprised to say the least, I thought ranking for just about any keyword that has over 96,000 competing web pages (that’s searching for “cash blog” with parenthesis) would take longer to advance through all that competition.
Now again I realize, that there won’t be to many people searching for “money making opportunities” online typing “cash blog” into Google, but I just wanted to rank for a easy set of words to start with. Getting on page one that quickly has given me the confidence to go after a more competitive set of keywords now!
It’s going to take a bit longer to get on page one for the more competitive keywords, but with good SEO, alot of good quality backlinks, good content (although the content of some page one sites sucks), and time it can be done.
PS Hey, go type “cash blog” into Google and check it out, now of course, I want to be the first on the page so check back and see if I make it. I hope this gives you confidence to keep working to improve your ranking for your own keywords!
