Earn Extra Money Article Marketing With These Web 2.0 Sites
Well, I thought I would write a post and talk a little about the other web 2.0 sites I use to build backlinks to my other content, as well as earning extra money online.
As I mentioned in my Hubpages post the sites I like the most for links and earning money online are Xomba.com, InfoBarrel.com, and Squidoo.com. Now lets take a closer look at each, shall we?
1. Xomba.com is my second favorite web 2.0 site. At Xomba you can publish articles that are only 150 words long (not too hard to crank out a bunch of those!) and they are called Xombytes. I have had several of my Xombytes show up on page one of the serps very quickly, heck one was there within minutes of me hitting the publish button.
Xomba also has a bookmarking function which lets you publish a bookmark (they call Xomblurps) which only have to be 50 words long (you should do one for anything you write online) and some of these carry enough authority to get on page one of the SERP’s as well, and these even show AdSense ads too, so a very quick additional source of online income!
Xomba will split the AdSense immpressins with you for your good content, so as always when writing online in the hopes of earning extra money, your articles need to be optimized for for keywords that you can rank for and that will pay.
Overall, I like the fact that your articles can be shorter than for most article directories (even I can crank out 10 a day!) and the fact that Google seems to like Xomba right now, so your articles tend to rank quickly and well.
2. InfoBarrel.com is another web 2.0 site that wants you high quality original articles. They too will share the AdSense impressions your articles generate.
Google also seems to like InfoBarrel right now as well, as articles published there seem to rank well too.
At InfoBarrel you can include images, or video in your article too, which I think is always a good idea.
3. Squidoo.com while maybe not as high up on Googles list of favorite web 2.0 sites as far as ranking in the SERP’s is concerned right now. Squidoo is still a place you can obtain good backlinks, and if you write, good, long, keyword rich lenses (what Squidoo calls their articles) and include images, and perhaps video as well you can expect to do well in the SERP’s and earn some extra money from the Internet with Squidoo too.
In case you’re wondering why I say to add images and/or video, well I feel it is very quick and easy to do and can make your articles stand out from the rest in the eyes of your visitors, and that is a good thing! I’m all for anything that is easy and effective, it’s all about getting the most bang for your buck.
Conclusion
I like these sites mainly because not only do you get a good backlink to your other content, but you also have the possibility to create an income stream and earn extra money at home from those same articles as well. Which ain’t happening with EzineArticles, Searchwarp, or GoArticles, although I have many articles at those sites as well. Remember to deversify your backlink structure.
Bottom line though, creating multible streams of income to earn money at home is always a good thing!

Thanks for the tips on Xomba and infopages. I have never heard of them before. I have written a few articles for squiddo which seem to get now where in Google, no matter how I try. Same with hub pages. Triond does well for me though.

Good list. These are definitely my favorite sites, and I’m finding you can make some pretty impressive money when you combine HubPages, Squidoo, Xomba, and InfoBarrel. Whenever you can start racking up several hundred bucks a month in passive income without even counting your main blogs, that’s something I’m all about. I agree with you that this is a great list, and fully appreciate you sharing your perspective on these writing sites.

I wonder what would 150-words article do? I mean normally we do need some good space to express ourselves but that’s also one really good skill to sum up your point of view in lesser words and perhaps by publishing articles on Xomba one can perfect their this skill because not every reader wants to read long articles lol, it’s a fact apart from some few.

I’ve had good luck with Xomba Kurt. My articles get indexed quickly and rank well, and I’m making some Adsense money with them as well!
Hi Jerry, yeah, I do remember that. Things are working out great, and you’ve got a real solid blog going on here so good stuff. I guess adding on to your post here I’ll say I’ve been pretty impressed with how Squidoo is expanding their income streams, so the results for me are getting better and better, and I’d also warn off anyone from ever writing for Helium. Xomba, InfoBarrel, the others – great, but Helium isn’t worth the time, and there’s some shady stuff in the TOS. Great blog, man, keep up the good work!

Never heard of the first two so thanks for the heads up i will give them a try. I like squidoo and you can get some lenses on page one of the serps with a little effort so Google deifinetly likes them.
